So far this, both front axle seals leak pretty good, the fuse block is in a lousey spot and gets wet and nasty quickly, the rops don't fold and the seat cracked. other than that it's held up nicely with 280+ hard hours all pretty much loader work and zero mowing. .... WebDec 26, 2024 · The pivot bolt tightens against the rear side mounting bracket pulling the axle against that bracket and a wear point there as well. (15ftlbs is the spec I found) Any flexing of the rear mounting bracket causes the pivot bolt head to slide in and out of the front mounting bracket. Hopefully this helps and my axle leak is gone. I was wondering if this is a hard problem to fix. The tractor sat for many years until i bought it last yr with only 200hrs on it so the seals really arent in the best shape.
WebJul 16, 2024 · Use KUBOTA UDT or SUPER UDT fluid, or SAE80/90 gear oil. The UDT oil will probably have a greater tendency to leak thru old seals and gaskets because it is thinner. If you have a loader and expose the front axle to heavy loads, the SAE80/90 weight gear oil might be a better choice. Remove the bearing from the axle then remove the old seal. Clean it all up good. Install new seal over the axle. Reinstall the bearing. Put the axle back in, install the snap ring.
