From the documentation: "script": Evaluates the response as JavaScript and returns it as plain text. Disables caching by appending a query string parameter, "_= [TIMESTAMP]", to the URL unless the cache option is set to true. I'm trying to retrieve an image using jQuery.get (or jQuery.ajax if I have to), store this image in a Blob and upload it to another server in a POST request.

WebYou aren't actually sending JSON. You are passing an object as the data, but you need to stringify the object and pass the string instead. Your dataType: "json" only tells jQuery that you want it to parse the returned JSON, it does not mean that jQuery will automatically stringify your request data.
