WebI've tried both and though Catan Universe has some bugs and has a lot it can improve on, it is definitely worth the $5 for base or $12 for Base, Seafarers and Cities, and Knights Expansions. For me, colonist.io didn't really feel like playing Catan and the graphics were rather crude. Though colonist.io did prove to be much smoother and free.
